Many of us find a gift or gift shopping complex task. The same is true when it comes to choosing the perfect wedding gift. To help, here are 6 tips gift:
1) Know your Newlyweds:
It is common sense, right? If they're sporting a pair who love to surf as well, consider gifting them to match pairs of board shorts or maybe a waterproof camera. But chances are that you know a young couple much better than others, so a little research on common interests will surely pay off.
2) Push-the-border-Gift:
If you pride yourself on the reception of the rebels, you know, the person who gives the most embarrassing speech at the wedding. Maybe you should stick to his non-conformist guns and get your bride's something that might cause them to explore new territory. If you are a conservative couple, get them a nice selection of hot oil massage. Suggest that the bust from the hot oil massage kit after the honeymoon is over.
3) Good gadget Wedding:
21 century has given us almost unlimited choice in this department. How about giving them color coordinated set of USB 2.0 Thumbdrives? Or maybe a digital photo frame? Today, all the inner geek has plenty of digital candy to feed. But I know that when you go for equipment, it will become obsolete within a year or so.
4) Gag Gift:
This is the shortest functional durability of any gift, so make it funny. I liked the "big mouth Billy Bass" as the next guy, but have you seen any in the mall lately? Problem is, so few gag gifts are actually funny. Good advice would be to avoid them entirely.
5) Gift Registry:
Gift registries (also known as: bridal registries) have risen to prominence for the exact reason I'm writing this list: how to make shopping for wedding presents less of a burden. The idea was first introduced by Chicago based Marshall Field's department store in 1924. Since then, it is an increasingly popular way to conveniently online and choose a gift that the bride and groom are preselected. The advantage is that it seems that the Register of newlyweds do not get the same gift twice. However, the lack of a necessary element of surprise gifting.
6) falls back to the Classics:
Nope, I'm not talking about the ubiquitous wedding toaster. But it might be worth giving rises above the trend-du-jour and get them a classic traditional gifts that have stood the test of time. Maybe a set of flatware, or better yet, a Waterford Crystal. Finally, the wedding gifts are geared toward the bride. Get her a nice set of stemware and Waterford Crystal martini pitcher, and you will cross your mind every time you use it for special occasions.
